Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains how Battlio (the Android game Battlio and the website battlio.com, together Battlio, we, us) handles information. Contact: support@battlio.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. You can play as a guest or create an account. A guest receives a random anonymous Player ID created by Unity Authentication. If you register, you choose a username and password; the password is processed by Unity Authentication and is not stored by the game. Your nickname may be shown to other players (see Top Players).
- Game data. Level, XP, Coins, Gems, unlocked and equipped cosmetics, daily reward and mission progress, and match statistics such as wins and rating. This is stored on your device. For signed-in registered accounts it is also saved to the cloud (Unity Cloud Save) so it can be restored.
- Top Players leaderboard. Your nickname and rating score are sent to a global leaderboard (Unity Leaderboards, updated through Unity Cloud Code) and are visible to other players.
- Support messages. If you contact us from the in-game Support Center we receive your message, category, and basic diagnostics (Player ID, nickname, game version, platform). Support messages are stored in Unity Cloud Save under your Player ID.
- Purchase information. Gem packs are bought through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we do not receive your card or payment details. The game receives the product ID and transaction/order identifier and keeps a record of it so the purchase is granted once and is not granted twice.
- Voice chat audio (optional). When you choose to turn on the microphone in an online match, the game asks for Android microphone permission. Your voice is sent in real time to the other players in the same match through our voice provider Photon Voice. It is used only to provide voice chat (app functionality) and is processed ephemerally. We do not record, store, transcribe or use voice audio for advertising or analytics. The microphone is only used after you turn voice on. Voice chat is optional, and denying microphone permission does not stop the game from working.
- Technical information. When the game connects to online services, our service providers receive technical data such as IP address, app version, platform and network information.
2. Information we do not collect
The current version does not use an advertising ID, does not access your precise location, contacts, photos or camera. We do not record or store voice audio. Battlio does not sell personal information.
3. Advertising
The current version of Battlio does not show advertisements, does not include an advertising SDK and does not use advertising identifiers. We plan to add advertising in a future update. Before ads are enabled we will update this policy, describe which advertising partners process data (such as the advertising ID, IP address and device information) and update the Google Play Data safety section. We do not sell personal information.
4. How we use information
To run the game and your account, save and restore progress, show leaderboards, deliver purchased items, provide support, keep the game fair and secure, fix bugs and comply with the law.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services: Authentication, Cloud Save, Leaderboards, Cloud Code) to provide accounts, saving, leaderboards and support, and Google Play (Google Play Billing) for purchases. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. Online multiplayer and optional voice chat are active and are provided through Photon (PUN and Photon Voice). Photon processes player name, team, match state and IP address to run matches, and voice audio is relayed in real time only. We do not share personal information for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the game.
6. Retention
We keep account and game data while your account exists. Guest data created on the device stays on the device until you delete it or uninstall the game. When you delete your account (see below), your Unity Authentication account, Cloud Save data and local game data are deleted. If your Top Players entry is still visible after deletion, contact support@battlio.com and we will remove it. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.
7. Security
Data is sent to our service providers over encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your username and password private.
8. Children
Battlio is intended for players aged 13 and over (or the higher minimum age in your country). It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
You can use the game as a guest. Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information or object to its processing. You can delete your account inside the game (Settings, Account and Privacy, Delete Account) or by following the instructions at /delete-account. For other requests email support@battlio.com.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and material changes will be announced in the game or on this site.
